iNTRODUCTION
As Russia prepares to underscore its role as an Arctic superpower at the international Arctic forum in St. Petersburg, the Russian-American Cooperation Initiative together with the Russian Club at the University of Washington invites faculty and students to engage in a discussion on the prospects of U.S.-Russian cooperation in the Arctic region.

Climate Change
Where do the governments of the U.S. and Russia stand when it comes to addressing climate change in the Arctic?
Sustainable Development
What are the similarities and differences in U.S. and Russian strategies for the Arctic region's economic development?

Will the Arctic once again become a critical arena in a revived Cold War stand-off between the U.S. and Russia?
